About Us

We’re Sarah and Sonya—colleagues, friends, and co-founders of the Institute for CPD (ICPD).

Like many professionals, we cared deeply about developing our skills and doing CPD well. But we didn’t belong to a professional association—and that created a different problem altogether.

There were no clear requirements.
No guidance.
No framework to follow.

We were expected to manage our own development, choose our own learning, and make sense of it all on our own. Learning opportunities were everywhere, but there was no structure to help us decide what mattered, how it connected, or how to reflect in a way that showed real progress.

CPD felt fragmented, inefficient, and harder than it needed to be.

We knew there had to be a better way.

So we spent the next two years designing a structured, supportive approach to continuing professional development—one built specifically for self-directed professionals.
